چکیده

Abstract In this work, the effect of two different types bioactive coatings on properties 3D printed poly(lactic acid)/montmorillonite (PLA/MMT) nanocomposite scaffolds was examined. To improve their suitability for bone tissue engineering applications, PLA were coated with (i) ordered mesoporous Strontium bioglass (SrBG) and (ii) SrBG nanohydroxyapatite (nHA) using a simple dip coating procedure. The morphology, chemical structure, wettability nanomechanical hydrophilicity increased after even more SrBG/nHA coating. Moreover, in case PLA/MMT/SrBG/nHA scaffolds, elastic modulus by ~ 80% hardness from 156.9 ± 6.4 to 293.6 11.3 MPa comparison PLA. Finally, vitro biocompatibility osteogenic potential evaluated marrow-derived stem cells. process found be fast, economical effective way biomineralization promote differentiation cells toward osteoblasts, neat PLA/MMT scaffold. Evaluation of synovium-derived mesenchymal stem cells and 3D printed nanocomposite scaffolds for tissue engineering

Stem cells and scaffolds play a very important role in tissue engineering. Here, we isolated synovium-derived mesenchymal stem cells (SMSCs) from synovial membrane tissue and characterized stem-cell properties. Gelatin nanoparticles (NP) were prepared using a two-step desolvation method and then pre-mixed into different host matrix (silk fibroin (SF), gelatin (Gel), or SF-Gel mixture) to genera...

Aligned and random nanofibrous nanocomposite scaffolds for bone tissue engineering

Aligned and random nanocomposite nanofibrous scaffolds were electrospun from polycaprolactone (PCL), poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (nHA). The morphology and mechanical characteristics of the nanofibers were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy and tensile testing, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy revealed fibers with an average diameter of 123 ± 3...

Bioactive polymeric scaffolds for tissue engineering

A variety of engineered scaffolds have been created for tissue engineering using polymers, ceramics and their composites. Biomimicry has been adopted for majority of the three-dimensional (3D) scaffold design both in terms of physicochemical properties, as well as bioactivity for superior tissue regeneration. Scaffolds fabricated via salt leaching, particle sintering, hydrogels and lithography ...
